"My mother was in assisted living. She was about 90 years old at the time. Her only health issue was Alzheimer's, which is quite a lot. Uh she was using a walker and had been for quite a while. One day I got a call one one morning, maybe about 6:30 in the morning, that she had fallen and they had taken her to the hospital and I of course went over to see about her and they did surgery. She broke her hip and they they did surgery on her and when it was time they they returned her to the facility, but they really didn't take very good care of her at that point. She developed some bed sores. I just don't think they were moving her around as they should have been to prevent that from happening. Um and eventually she passed. I asked them for a video of the incident and they gave it to me and I saw where she had been taken to the small dining room area.

She'd been left there alone and they' taken her walker and put it maybe four or five feet from her. I could actually see the person who had brought her in there around the corner down the hall in a doorway just having a conversation with someone there. and mom got up to get her walker and tripped over a strip between the carpet and the tile fell and she was asking for help but I have that video to show me it was definitely negligence to leave her like that. McHugh Fuller had a reputation in this area for handling negligence and nursing home cases. I contacted them, gave them the information and the name of the facility and the video and and all the records they asked for. They got right on it, took care of everything, kept me, kept in touch with me as things went along the way. Just very competent, professional.

I wanted to send a message that facility is somewhat popular in the in the area and I wanted people to know that not everyone there was competent or trained and that there were safety issues that needed to be addressed. I just felt like people should know that before they consider sending someone there."
