This case stems from the alleged injuries suffered by the decedent, Carol June Johnson (“Mrs. Johnson”), during her stay at Heartland of Clarksburg, a skilled nursing facility in Clarksburg, West Virginia, from July 16, 2013, until her death on October 2, 2013. Ralph Johnson, who is Mrs. Johnson’s husband, filed this suit as the representative of her estate in the Circuit Court of Harrison County on July 14, 2014.
