Jerzy Wazydrag was paralyzed in a work-related accident and entered the Alden North Shore nursing home in July 2001 for rehabilitation therapy. While there Mr. Wazydrag developed severe bedsores that were so bad that he needed a one-year hospital stay to heal correctly.
