Mr. Morris was a resident of Western Convalescent Hospital from July 28, 2000, through April 29, 2003. While there he developed a bedsore on his right heel that eventually became infected. The infection progressed to the point where the tissue died, the bone became exposed and his right leg had to be amputated below the knee.
